Pace didn't twitch. "No problem at all. Everything's just perfect." He turned to Snow, "You saved her? In that case, I owe you one."

"Don't worry." Snow muttered distractedly, tail froze beside her, pelt ruffled in a breeze. Saga snorted grumpily and turned his head to glare at Henna. "Layla'll be here soon." He snapped

Henna began to pace; she padded warily around her father, her ears pricked her eyes determindly fixed on Saga. Pace watched her wearily. "And what sort of wolf might your aplhess be?" He asked, thinking of his own dark elements.

"A light elemental." Saga said, raising his head and pushing forth his chest proudly, but merely making himself look a fool. Snow sighed quietly. "But don't under-estimate her." Snow murmured, looking sharply at Saga, whom grunted boredly. "Ignore him." She added to Henna and Pace, as Silver appeared again. Silver was beside them in seconds, and a cream f'mmora followed. Watching the two Siklas with a left golden eye, and a right blue, the cream fea sat, eyeing Pace and Henna calmly.

Pace bowed his maw. "So you must be the alphess, eh?" He dropped onto his haunches and curled his tail around his feet. In an instant, Henna was up on her feet. "I'm so sorry, ma'am, I swear I'll never fight again, I apologise-" she began blurting, until her father put a paw to her nose. She fell silent.

Layla smiled slightly. "Yes, I'm Layla." She listened to Henna start blurting out things and smiled again. "Don't worry about it. Now, are you two looking to join a pack, or just pass through the terrain?" She asked calmly, her tail twitching, curling and uncurling around her frame

Henna was about to talk, but Pace shushed her. "We'd like to join." He shot a warning glance at Henna, who looked like she was about to object. "You can't live all your life between the boundries, Henna. You can't switch between dog and wolf whenever it takes your fancy." Henna paused, thinking of her mother. "Then I wish to be a wolf." she said, regally.

Layla dipped her muzzle to them both, eyeing Pace more warily than Henna. "You both may join; if you so wish to." She attempted a smile then; but it was weak, and slightly forced

Pace nodded. "I have a pretty extensive knowledge of healing and birthing. I'll be around if there's ever any serious complications." the old wolf sighed. He remembered both Henna and Bold's birth pretty clearly - both bitches nearly died.

Layla nodded silently. He was alot older than she had first guessed; she could tell that now. "Shall I leave you two to look around on your own? Or would you like a tour?" She asked, cocking her head slightly. Immediately, she wished she hadn't; the action making her feel like a young pup.

pace laughed, and stumbled to his feet. His was a grizzled looking thing up close, but despite his aging body, his eyes twinkled knowingly. "We'll be fine, right Henna?" His daughter nodded. "Yeah... just show us the way to the hunting grounds."

Layla nodded silently. "Shall I take you, or just direct you?" She inquired, not wanting to seem like she was trying to intrude on them both.
