Kiri smiled as Snow trotted beside her. She thought. 'Hmmm.. Maybe this place isn't that bad.... Snow might be a good friend..' She swung her head around nose flaring and her eyes flicking, searching for movement.

Snow cast a sidelong glance to Kiri, watching her silently. Their optics had met for a second, then Kiri had broke the connection by moving her head. Snow smiled, delighted to have made a new friend; one who clearly didn't mind about her wings. The wings in question, were, infact, pressed to her sides; she was trying to make as little noise as possible.

Kiri glanced at Snows wings with geniune curiosity. She started slowly. "I like your wings... Can you fly in them?" Her voice was light but filled with happy question. She breathed deeply to catch any sents.

"Yea, course I can." Snow smiled. She stretched her wings; almost lazily and giggled. "I'd shoooooow you, buuut, they make too much noise. Too many feathers." She grinned, her wings pressed to her sides once more.

Kiri grinned. "That be great after we eat. Oh yeah so what do you want to go after?" She said after taking a large sniff at the air. "Rabbit or a Deer?"

Snow smiled, putting her own muzzle to the ground, but unable to catch the scent; her smelling powers not NEARLY as strong as Kiri's...

Kiri and snow traveled silently for about 40 minutes, turning alot and back tracking and things. Suddenly Kiri Crouched and her ears strained forward. Her pulse quickened as she saw the outline of the deer against the dim dawn sky and the smell was strong. Her movements were only just enough and no more as any wolf would do. The deer was grazing on roots and moss, taking a step every now and then as it chewed delicately on the soft substance. It's ears were flopped to the side in ease. It was a young doe, about a year and a half. It was about a medium size enough for about 2 or 3 wolves to eat till they were full. Kiri had only picked a not-small deer because she was with another wolf and two wolves could handle larger deer. Kiri sighed in her mind silently. Usually she hunted werewolf form so this was harder to be hunting this way but fun. With her belly brushing the ground noiselessly she and snow crept forward.

Snow smiled slightly to herself. Her auds fell back against her skull. Her chest only moved slightly, just enough for small breathes. Orbs narrowed, watching the doe hungrily. She could see Kiri, to her left, slinking along the ground, obviously having hunted often. Her own stomach brushed the dew-filled grass. She had to concentrate. She had had an idea. A brainwave. Perhaps, if she made the weather change to really sunny, and momentarily blind the doe, she and Kiri could attack. Slinking closer and closer, Snow thought about her idea, debating silently whether, or not, to tell Kiri...

Kiri was already on the go she motioned for Snow to get ready to charge and she tensed her back muscles and leapt and she smiled as she felt her jaws tear into its shoulder and backbone.

Snow leapt forwards also, jaws clamping onto the auds of the doe; ripping them clean off! The doe screeched shrilly in pain, and started to run away, immensely slowed by Kiri's bites. Snow leapt again, and felt a familar jolt of excitement as she heard a snapping noise which told her that she had broken the doe's neck. This fea deer was now dead!

Kiri grinned and she motioned to the deer. "You broke its neck so you can eat first. You are a good hunter." She then sat, tail wagging and her eyes bright and smiling. 'My first friend!'

Kiri nodded and they both went forward to eat. Kiri ripped into the tender haunches and the meat started to steam in the warming air. Kiri smiled in delight of the warm blood and meat as she could freshly smell the fear of its last moments. She felt the feeling awakening and forcely pushed it back down.
